(live-PR.com) - ST. GALLEN, Switzerland (AP) - The body of a 5-year-old girl found buried in the woods six weeks after her abduction showed no signs of sexual or physical abuse, police said Tuesday.
Ylenia Lenhard's body was officially identified Tuesday, three days after its discovery in an east Switzerland forest. It was found about 2.7 kilometers
(1.7 miles) away from where suspected kidnapper Urs Hans Von Aesch killed himself with a gunshot to the head on the same day of the abduction.
Investigators have found evidence that Ylenia was almost certainly in Von Aesch's van and have confirmed DNA traces of the 67-year-old on the girl's belongings. Von Aesch had been living in Spain for nearly two decades and was back in Switzerland reportedly to look for a new house.
Bruno Fehr, head of the criminal investigations unit, said, «After six weeks it can no longer be determined exactly where and when Ylenia was killed.
Ylenia's body showed no signs of massive violence, Fehr said, adding that further study was needed to determine the cause of death.

Police are also looking into whether there is any link between Von Aesch and the disappearance in the 1980s of a number of children in the area of eastern Switzerland where he lived.
