Connecticut Laborers’ Endorse U.S. Congressman Chris Murphy For U.S. Senate Primary & 2012 General Election Bid

(live-PR.com) - (Hartford, CT) – The Connecticut Laborers’ District Council announced today that it has officially endorsed the candidacy of U.S. Congressman Chris Murphy (D-5th CT) for U.S. Senate representing Connecticut.

interests and concerns of his district. Chris thoroughly understands his role as a politician and representative of the people and has fought diligently to improve the lives of workers and their families here in Connecticut,” said Charles LeConche, business manager, Connecticut Laborers’ District Council. “The Connecticut Laborers’ which includes over 7,500 workers in Connecticut proudly endorses Chris Murphy for his candidacy for U.S. Senate.”

The Connecticut Laborers’ District Council represents approximately 7,500 members employed in the construction industry, public sector and other building and trade fields throughout the state. The Laborers’ International Union of North America, founded in 1903 largely by immigrant workers, includes more than 800,000 members who work in construction and hazardous materials remediation, as well as in healthcare, the U.S. Postal Service and other public service sectors of the economy.
