(live-PR.com) - This summer, Barcelona City Council Environment Department, together with the Barcelona Library Consortium will offer to everyone the opportunity to rent a book while they are enjoying the beach in Barcelona. This service will be offered in two different beaches of Barcelona, the main one, La Barceloneta, from the 1st of July till 30th of September, and the Nova Mar Bella beach in Bac de Roda, from the 1st of July until the 31st of August. Beach lovers won’t have to bring their heavy books from their home or from their hotel in Barcelona (www.barcelonapoint.com/en/barcelona_hotels/) anymore, Barcelona brings the books to the beach for them!

The libraries offer 180 items each, including novels, comics, story books, daily newspaper and magazines, for adults and children. Everybody will be able to enjoy it as there will items available in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian and German! The service will be available everyday from 11am to 7pm and the books will have to be returned the same day. It is definitely a plus for tourist’s vacation in Barcelona (www.barcelonapoint.com/en/apartments.html).

The aim is to encourage people to read during their leisure time on the beach, both of the libraries point will also have an information and help point and organize educational activities in order to encourage care and respect for the coastline.
