AFEK launches F-Pats
Seoul, Korea - September 23rd, 2011 - AFEK, the Association for F-class Expatirates within Korea, are proud to announce the release of the authorized AFEK blog, F-Pats - ( www.f-pats.com ).
This blog website seeks to successfully advise and update long-term foreign occupants about problems that may possibly impact people as citizens of the Republic of Korea.
"Providing
information and support to long-term expats has always been the ultimate goal of AFEK," says Mike Yates, founder of AFEK, "and the blog will help us further that aim."
"Often, the English language media in Korea doesn't follow-up on stories, or misses key points. The AFEK community does a great job of filling in the blanks for fellow members, and we feel that people outside of the community could benefit from access to the same information."
"A perfect example of this is the recent decision to suspend seven savings banks. The press reported on this issue, but gave no indication as to how savers could claim compensation. The F-Pats blog shares that information with people who wouldn't usually have easy access to it."
AFEK was created in May 2009, and it is number one organization of its sort located in Korea. Whereas membership was originally restricted to citizens holding resident visa's (F-visas), a limited form of membership is offered to everybody. In June 2011, AFEK organised the very first annual AFEK Business Conference, a day of small business seminars that was free to members to attend, and AFEK representatives have given assistance and enable to government bodies in Korea. AFEK is owned and operated by ILW Korea, a licensed service provider in South Korea.
